"Barack Obama will build upon his efforts in the Senate to ensure that more Metropolitan Planning Organizations create policies to incentivize greater bicycle and pedestrian usage of roads and sidewalks. As president, Obama will work to provide states and local governments with the resources they need to address sprawl and create more livable communities."

On Saturday, June 28, 2008, thousands of volunteers will host house parties nationwide as part of Unite For Change to raise awareness and support for Barack Obama for President to people, regardless of whom they voted for in the primary season.

But why have just a house party when you can stage one through the entire city? Not just that, but promoting an eco-conscious way of getting around, declaring your independence from foreign oil (and high ga$ prices) and creating positive human interaction (i.e. community)? Join us this Saturday morning as we ride our bikes throughout Los Angeles and make ourselves visible on the streets as we spin our chains, Uniting for Change!

For this bike tour, we will ride on a marathon-length course that will visit several of Barack Obama's previous campaign stops in Los Angeles:

L.A. Trade Tech College, Downtown
Walt Disney Concert Hall, Downtown
Universal Amphitheatre, Universal City
Kodak Theatre, Hollywood
Rancho Cienega Park, Baldwin Hills
Dorsey High School, Crenshaw District

We'll also make some stops for food, snacks or restroom breaks. For those of you who were there at these appearances, we encourage you to share your experience, show photos, etc. BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike, that is!) and a helmet.

In the spirit of Unite For Change...All are welcome! Whether you're an Obama supporter, a Hillary Suppoter, an Edwards, Richardson, Biden, Kucinich Supporter, Ron Paul Republicans, Republicans who want CHANGE, Independents, Green Party people, etc. etc. etc. Let's unite and ride together!
